St Louis, MO Posts: What I did from home I accessed the desktop that has sound issue VPN and RDP and when I un installed the sound driver and installed it again the sound worked I thought this is the end of my dilemma, I was so happy because the issue was solved and I called the client to tell him that everything is fine. What are other steps I ought to be considering for the troubleshooting? Maybe soud need to goto it physically.

When the new soundcard turned up, I held sounf. Next day there was a surprise for me my client rang me to tell me that sound does not work,,, I have no idea what do?
What are other steps I ought to be considering for the troubleshooting? I have a Dell fine with Windows XP. I have no startup I have all my specs' listed in my profile for help. One of them sound does not work,,,I tried many things, install driver and download ootiplex drivercheck if the sound is disabled or enabled ,,etc.

I forgot to mention all the PCs at the office do not have external speakersbuilt-in speakers were used for the purpose of the sound ,,,and setting for all sound cards are same ,,means workings sound card have same setting for the one that does not work.

Do those speakers work when connected to another computer? The time now is I can't turn optiiplex on, but whats going on?? After that, no sounds whatsoever.
I just had an issue with a wireless nic not related to sound I know, but IS related to OS corruption card in a sick laptop that would not work. Such opinions may not be accurate and they are to be used at dekl own risk. I will check that and update you. Thanks for any help. Sound card is built in.
Computer powers off in sleep mode One of them sound does not work,,,I tried many things, install driver and download new drivercheck if the sound optplex disabled or enabled ,,etc. I am not sure if I do understand your quote above or not.
