Am I missing something? This time it's a pci express card which hopefully will solve my problem. Let Windows install it and then re-check Device manager.

After about 10 minutes it comes up with failed installing drivers. In Device Manage, any exclamations for unknown hardware? I can now use my digicam as before with the previous operating system.
The first message says: I'll keep you informed of the outcome. It freezes and after about 10 fiirewire it starts again but everything very very slow and the pci card is still not usable.

Any further ideas or shall I buy a new card which is compatible with Windows 7? Verify the card is fully inserted in the PCI slot. Remove all instances of the device, reboot. I restart the computer fitewire after these 10 minutes. What is the model number?
If have a free PCI slot, put the card in a different slot and when boot, Windows should display the "new hardware found" bubble.

I will now delete the 30 with the exclamation mark and see what happens. As mentioned before I bought a pci express firewire card. It shows 32 instances of it! I've ordered a new one form e-bay.

Yes, my password is: I've been to Belkins web site and it has no drivers for this card. It did not come with a driver. This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. I'll try a few more times to make it work. So I would say that the problem is resolved.
